PSU Help

I am about to purchase the hardware to build my first computer, and I'm a bit worried whether the PSU I've selected will be capable of supporting the other hardware.

Proposed hardware:
PSU: Gigabyte Superb 720 - 720W

Mobo: Asus P5Q Deluxe Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad 3.00Ghz (Q9650) 1333MHz 775 socket
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB - 7200RPM 32mb Cache
RAM: Corsair 2x2GB DDR2 1066MHz
Graphics: Palit GeForce GTX260+ 896mb 620Mhz Core Clock

Will the 720W PSU be able to (comfortably) handle the equipment?

PS. Feel free to offer any suggestions or advice on the other hardware, I haven't ordered the parts yet so if there is something better at a reasonable price available, I am still able to change them. i7 processors are out of my budget, don't bother suggesting that :p

Thank you for your help.

EDIT: Oh, also, which of these graphics card is better? I hear manufacturers sometimes stick on excess memory to make it look all fancy without it making that much difference to the performance.

(Aplogies if linking to outside sites is against rules, easier than me typing all the information, just edit this bit out if it is)

EDIT 2:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After taking Ethans advise, I checked out the i7 processors and found there wasn't any difference in price. Compiled a new setup for the i7 processor, with new motherboard, RAM, and of course different PSU. So, take a look at the new setup below and share some of your wisdom with me, and let me know if the PSU will be enough to power it. PLEASE point out if any of this hardware is not compatible with the other stuff... Nobody likes a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces don't fit.

That PSU will be fine. I would suggest something else, though. That particular PSU seems to lack amps on the 12v rails. Certainly not an issue now for your current setup, but could be an issue if you wanted to run SLI down the road or similar.

What's your price range? For now, something around the same price I would suggest looking at the Corsair TX series. A Corsair TX 650 can be had for about $140-150 AU.

Corsair TX 650 650watt PSU

You mentioned the i7's are out of your price range when the CPU on your list is substantially more than an i7 CPU. I would suggest the Intel i5 or AMD Phenom II route, as opposed to the Core 2 series, which is now almost a dead series.

As for the 2 video cards. The one with less memory has a higher core, shader, and memory clock right out of the box, but costs less. The 1792 MB of RAM won't do much unless it's super high resolution gaming you're doing.

My budget for a PSU is $100 - $175

If I update to the i5 or i7 CPUs, I would also have to change my motherboard and RAM. The compatible motherboard with decent RAM compatibilities and PCI slots and such, from what I've seen, cost at least $100 more than my current one. Plus, DDR3 is more expensive than DDR2. So I figured the 775 would be the best option. (Though, this is my first computer after all) ... I'm about to have a scan through mwave see if I can put something together compatible with the i7/i5 at a price within my budget.

I'll probably go with the 896mb card (which is what I was going to go with, but just wanted to double check about the 1792)

Well, I've sure been made to look like a no0b. :p

That actually works out the same as my previous proposed setup. This is the first time I started looking seriously at DDR3, 1156 sockets and the i7s, so I wouldn't be surprised if the RAM/Motherboard/CPU weren't compatible :P

So, the i7 setup would be the better choice, and wont blow my budget?

Oh, and I appreciate you taking the time to help me. Thank you.
