PSU problem

Well, I read Praetor's excellent article, PSU 101, and at the bottom I saw:

On the flip side, not having enough power is a bad thing as you will start to suffer restarts, instability and generally "stuff not working right". For systems featuring videocards requiring power adapters, having a weak power supply may mean the system will not boot up.

My PC, when in medium-heavy stress (such as huge apps for example Nasa Worldwind, an app which allows you to zoom in very close on countries and even see buildings and cars in certain US cities... It's updated continously via the web) just restarts... Could my 350 W PSU not be enough to power my system?

My PSU rails an'all:

I havs 26 amps on +12 v rail.

A PSU upgrade would help and eliminate instability, get a PSU with at least 450 wattage and also check the ampheres, 12V should be around 30+ amp.:)

I wouldn't think that a good 350W PSU would have a problem with your system as it isn't that power hungry. Also, your PSU spec make me wonder if either the total power is conservative or the 12V amperage is exagerated. Anyway, try watching the rails (monitoring software such as Speedfan or software from the mobo manufacturer) to see if there are any spikes in the voltages when it restarts.

I agree... but just to give you enough headroom you might wanna also consider upgrading. :)

Asus Probe downloaded. Status: I get (around once per day) my 12 V rail which is too high, sometimes for a VERY BRIEF moment at like 12.5 v.... Not stable, eh? I should get a new PSU?
