i got a new HP pavilion p6540y(Specs-> http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02155498&tmp_track_link=ot_faqs/top_issues/en_es/c02155498/loc:1&lc=en&dlc=es&cc=es&lang=es&product=4216284 ), with intention of putting a good evga nvidia-9800gt graphics card i have already inside, but the psu that came with my rig is only 250w, i need a 400w for the card.

i need clarification that the psu that was recommended to me will fit/work with my rig.

the psu currently in it is a 250-watt (max) power supply (Zinfandel), Bestec ATX-250-12V) - 100-120VAC and 200-240VAC input (switch selectable), 50/60Hz

the one that was recommended and i plan on buying is a CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

so will this fit and be compatible in my system etc?, all the same cables etc?

thx for any help, soon as i get my GPU in my system my comps complete ;)

Consair 400w just enough for 9800gt. If you want further upgrade in future, it would be best to get something like 500 - 550w
