PSU - question

Please post a quick answer as im gonna leave to buy this in 2 hours

Right so im going to get my 9800GTX+ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125245

But the ape at the store says my PSU wont handle it (they tend to half ass upsell stuff all the time) and they said the same the last time i fitted my card despite the fact it ran fine.

Please reply asap my specs are in my sig. Thanks very much.

The manual says 450W or greater PSU with 24 Amps on the 12V circuit is recommended.

Most home wiring is 15 amps. Pretty hard to get 24 amps from the wall socket. Not a very good specification. Perhaps it reads 2.4 amps?

He's referring to the amount of amps supplied by the power supply's +12V rail, not a home wall unit.
