PSU support

If a good 425 or 450w supply will do it only a cheap and shaky 550w wouldn't for the most part. A lot is put on wattage when stability is a key item when selecting a supply. Between multibooting three versions of Windows on three different drives along with multimedia and gaming the 480w has remained in the case here while the 550w sits in a closet without the plastic seal even broken at this time. Maybe it might be used sometime.

That make just happens to be in a "bad" not "good" list of makes and models to be looking at. You may want to review the first half of a comparison list to see what brands are better choices overall.

Good:
Antec(except Smart Power models) - Astec - AOpen - Channel Well - Coolermaster - Enermax(except Liberty models)
- Enlight - Fortron Source (Sparkle) - HEC - OCZ Technology - PC Power & Cooling - PowerMan
- Seasonic - SilverStone - Sunbeam - Tagan - TTGI/SuperFlower - Vantec - Zippy / Emacs - Verax - Zalman
- Corsair

A very solid, reliable PSU, no complaints at all, although it has some stiff competition at the $90 mark.

Well that was one option to consider over sending NeedComputerFast after a Rosewood or ... excuse me Roserot or whatever cheapie you want to call it. You will notice that won't be seen on a "good" list. That 700w Seasonic for what $95 someone posted seen at TigerDirect would handle anything.

It looks like that one went fast unfortunately. That model was marked down for a quick sale at the time. The only two close now are Ultra or Silverstone models. If I can relocate the thread I may be able to track it down by model number.

EDIT: This may be the same model that Tiger had on a special sale for $95 for the $219.99 price seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817151031

But I thought I would also let you see a review found on Antec's new EarthWatts line of supplies found at http://news.softpedia.com/news/Antec-Produces-EarthWatts-PSUs-40707.shtml
