Pulling My Hair Out

Some of you may read my past problem, which was overcoming administrator passwords on a used laptop that I purchased. Well, I have solved that problem, but now have a new one. I got a Dell Latitude D505 and tried to reinstall Windows XP on it, but when it gets to the registering components portion of the installation I get an error message that it cannot do something. I just want to be able to use this computer!! Does anyone know what I should do from this point? When I start it up it just continues trying to install, but won't. I can't even seem to cancel installation. Does anyone know where I can get a recovery disk for this model? Please help!! Thanks!!

Well, its hard to analyse when you dont actually say what the error is. But anyway, i would recomend a full HDD format, get rid of everything start clean again. As for the recovery CD, try www.dell.com and try contacting them, just tell them that you messed up an installation and they should help you out.
