Purchasing software off internet.

How safe is it to purchase software off of Ebay that states "New, never installed. Disc only. No Retail box". Are these deals o.k. to purchase or should I pay more and purchase from a store.

it depends on the seller. with ebay you never know if the seller can be trusted or is a scammer. i dont really trust ebay since my cousin and a few other people i kno have been ripped off. so it really depends on if you want to take the risk. if you really want to buy off ebay just make sure the seller has good ratings and look at thier reviews to see what others have to say.
 
usually it says by seller info, their feedback percentage... just look at that and read some of his feedback, if he is a good seller, then it is prolly safe...
i usually dont buy from ppl under %90 positive feedback
 
Thanks for the quick answers. Maybe I didn't word my question in the best way. Sorry... What I really meant to ask was.....How safe is the software, not the sellers on Ebay?
