put 2 x 4 GB RAM in my Acer Aspire z5771 now it wont boot

Help, I went ahead and put 2 x 4 GB RAM in my Acer Aspire Z5771 all in one desktop now it wont boot. The screen stays black and it makes a noise. I thought i was so clever, hopefully someone here can help me out.
