Put in network card, now nothing works...

So I have a ASUS Nvidia nForce 750a MB, a EVGA Geforce 9800 GTX+, and a Phenom II x4.

So one day, I saw a beat-up torn-up computer in my dorm. So i ripped out the network card and put in mine. Once I did this, the computer stopped sending info to the screen (no picture will show). I took out the network card but the problem still persists. I took out the graphics card and tried to use the MB's graphics but that also didn't help. Everything is getting power and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?
 
There's the slim possibility something could have shorted out, but we'll try other things first...

Pull whatever you can from the motherboard and test it. if you know you have a working buzzer/PC speaker, you could even try without RAM. This typically gives long/continuous beeeeep.....beeeeep... (s) :P. If you get this far, try rebuilding the computer piece by piece testing it along the way. It might work again, or you may locate which component is bad.

If you continue having problems, you may consider removing the motherboard and trying it on a safe platform. Cardboard tends to be pretty safe for computer components. But just confirm the board isn't shorting out on the case or something. It's not too uncommon movment causes new problems. Installing the card could have jostled something enough to cause it to contact/short out.
 
all good advice. the best thing to do here is rebuild one piece at a time. hopefully if you did short something, it was just something minor and not the motherboard or CPU itself.
