Putting ATI Radeon HD 5770

I was trying to put it but it's too big it occupies 2 ports. I can only put it on the bottom because one of the slot is occupied by one port on the top. Can I use the 2 bottom slots because if I put it there it looks like the blower won't do much because there are wires below the blower.

Will something be broken if I put it incorrectly, except the PCI-E thingy I'm sure I'm correct on this one, just asking about the location

You can put the second GPU wherever you want. But the primary must be in PCI-E no 1.. I have my first GPU in no 1 and my second in no 3 Because those are kinda big. I'm doing Sli, but you can do the same for crossfire so it's np. Just make sure that you dont bend anything. I was able to destroy the pin that secure my second GPU because i was impatient. Thus, it's not really a problem unless i'm shaking my case. Therefore beware of that.

I have 2 slots for GPU, so I can put 2 video cards there? The video cards are different though one is Geforce GT 9800 512mb and the other one is ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB

The first video card is in the computer the other one is I'm planning to replace the first one but I see that you have 2 GPU maybe I can do that too, I'm just worrying about the motherboard if the second video card is compatible with it

No, that won't work the way you expect.. The HD 5770 and GT 9800 wont work togheter.. Surely, you can find cracked Drivers to make GT 9800 work as a Physix card, but that's it. you wont gain any more performance because you can't sli/crossfire those two togheter..

You need for instance a HD 5770 in crossfire with another 5770 for it to work..
Or a GT 9800 in sli with another GT 9800 to work..

HD 5xxx and GT 9xxx won't work togheter unless you want a dedicated physix card..

You can use HD 5770 with another HD card of the 5xxx series, but if it is a new card, then it will be clocked down to the slowest card..

If you find this confusing, just ask again and i can try to simplify it.. i kinda rushed this reply
 
Understand it. I also have ATI HD 4850 512MB, can these two work together or is it better to just put the ATI HD 5770 1GB alone.

Leave the the ATI HD 5770 1GB alone... I'm not sure if those two cards can be crossfired, but if they can then the 5770 will be slowed down to the 4850's speeds.. Not worth it!

They probably cant though.. 5xxx usually only crossfire with another 5xxx etc..

leave the ATI HD 5770 1GB alone. ^^
 
Just keep the 5770 in there and sell the other ones. the 5770 is superior than both.

What are the specs of the rest of your system? If you have a corssfire motherboard you could sell the 9800gt and 4850 to buy another 5770.

Just make sure if you do this that your PSU is 600 watts for greater... from a decent manufacturer. (eg: thermaltake, corsair, and so on)
