I had a topic up in the video card section http://www.computerforum.com/168751-video-card-good.html talking about the GPU some of the members linked me some power supplies but they were poking a hole in my budget so I just bought the one I linked at the starting of the topic.

I was wondering could I install it upside down like the fan facing down instead of up? Doing so would this cause any problems?

Here is some pictures of my bro's case.

Those fans face down, They just take the photo with the fan facing up so you can see it at a glance and to make the photo a bit more appealing :P

no offence, but you have made a bad choice in PSU.

People have to understand, that the PSU is the lifeblood of the computer. Its basically teh heart. If it cant deliver steady power, or if there are any spikes, your WHOLE PC will fry.

you should have spent slightly more on a better quality PSU. I know its hard to save, but it will be beneficial in the long run

but, to answer your question, any way you mount a PSU is fine, as long as the 120mm fan is exposed.

cause that pulls the air, and throws it out the back. if it doesnt pull any air, you could burn out your CPU

So basically I just bought aids for my computer.... Great..... there goes my money... /facepalm

The reason that those psus were poking a hole in your budget is because you get what you pay for. If you really load that power supply down you are going to have issues.

I have a raidmax psu that I got for the sole purpose of seeing if I could get some old junk that I didnt care about to work. It works fine for me but I expext it to fail at some point.

sorry dude but its still oozes bum fudge to me, wouldnt touch it with yours

Quite honestly i cannot understand a thing you just typed there....

And if you want to get technical about it, the quality of the Xclio stablepower and goodpower units actually exceeds that of the OCZ stealthxstream lineup.

Dont go by the name, Lian-Li sounds like a manufacturer of exercise equpiment as well but make great cases. For the price, you really cant get any better than an xclio unit (or even a little more, because id take an xclio unit over an ocz stealthxstream unit..)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341016 About $6.00 cheaper
or this if youplan to xfire.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017 This one is a few bones extra but it is worth it for xfire if you plan to.

All in the same price range but I belive them to be far supirior power supplies.

Anything cheaper =/ like a 400w+

Edit: Looks like bomberboysk likes the http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189005 and I like it too, but is it good? Can I trust it powering my system?
