Putting powersupply upside down.

I second bomberboysk. Two friends of mine have had no problems with their xclio units and have been running top end games, stress testing etc. on them for years.

Anything cheaper =/ like a 400w+

Edit: Looks like bomberboysk likes the http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189005 and I like it too, but is it good? Can I trust it powering my system?

I just posted three options for you with 5 mins of searching. Go on newegg or some other site (the 1N74RW3B5 is huge) and find one yourself. Sorry if that sounds mean but give it a shot and post back here and we will help you out. It's fun trying to make all the stuff fit together. Give it a shot.

Yea I saw your list and I replied to it, but I guess you didn't see it.

Here is a list of psu that is going to be powering this gpu.

Pick 1
Pick 2
Pick 3
Pick 4 <-- really like this one.

Id go for the xclio out of those, the FSP is a good unit but only 23A or so on the +12v rails, while the Xclio has around 36A max on the +12v rails. The coolermaster units are rated for peak power, and you are only talking around 25A continuous load on the +12v rails, not to mention both are only rated for around 400W continuous.

I did see it only I am just confused. I guess I just dont understand why you would pay the same amount or more for a inferior product. Point made with the xcilo but you still keep picking cheap power supplies. The idea is not to throw caution to the wind and find the most wattage for the least dollars. You want the most wattage for the least dollars while maintaining a certain level of quality.

I found one more. Tell me what y'all think.

PSU

Edit: Couldn't go with the Xclio because it's a "12V 8Pin(P4)" connector. I need a "ATX12V/EPS12V(4+4Pin)P2)" or "ATX12V/EPS12V(4Pin)P2)" connector.

The xclio unit is either a 4+4pin or EPS 4pin connector, i cant remember off the top of my head which but its definately not a single 8pin connector as ive used them in some older systems with only a 4pin EPS12v connector.

1 x Main connector (20+4Pin)
1 x 12V (P4) <-- It's a 8 pin I think
6 x peripheral
2 x SATA
2 x PCI-E
1 x Floppy

As you see here(Disregard the circle in the right bottom corner. That's a PCI connector).

If It's a 4pin I'm buying it right now.

It is what is considered a 4+4pin, it can be broken apart into a 4pin connector or attached together in order to become an 8pin again.

No worries. Glad we could help.

Edit: Did you order it? Also let us know how you like it when you get it. I have no experience with that brand so maybe a liitle unboxing vid on the tube (if you have a camera) or just a short list of things you like/dislike about it in here.

Not yet waiting for newegg to confirm cancel order and refund the money.

I'll take some pictures once it comes.
