Q: monitor shutting down

ok this problem i`m having is heavy for me
I´ll start from the begging when the problem first apeared. I bougth a new protsessor and as it turned out they do not make core 2 work with agp slot videos so i had no other way but to get a motherboard that supporded that protsessor and to sell my few months old x1950 pro:( . I chose a motherboard that has a intergrated video (that was helpful since i was able to use the machine for a week).

Then i got a video gard from my friend, the card did work since we played timeshift on his computer when his new card arrived. He offerd to give me the old one as long as i get my stuff in order and find a new card. I went home all joyfull thinking i can play some games after ages, but what happend was that the computer didnt start at all.

So i reinstall windows "whoo computer works", "now to install Hellgate: London". After installation i try to run it but what is this? The monitor goes blurr and then closes, after 30sec pause, the green light in the bottom goes orange, meaning monitor is turned off.

Now i press the power button shutting the monitor completley and then turning it on. Message appears "No Signal" "wtf?" I check the connections on the computer and monitor even try a old CRT but nothing, same problem occurs, even when i try to use the internet.

So with using safe mode, i finnally find out that after decreasing hardware acceleration from display settings and using second from the last one, i`m able to use the internet and every other programm normally, but when i switch it to fourth place from the lowest i can play hellgate even at medium graphics:). I allso can play max payne 2 with everything set to maximum and no clitshes, but when i try to play a game like call of duty 1 or el matador it doesn`t go even blurr any more. I get to see some of the logos at startup and then black screen.

I have updated my drivers and i have lowered the clock speed of of the card, but no success, by the way i have to use the second setting when in windows since, it will eventually bring up the problem...

my specs are:
2.20 core 2 dual
2 gb apacer ddr2 800mhz
Ecs elitegroup motherboard 945GCT-M2/1333
Ati Msi Radeon x300/x550/x1050~according to dxdiag, i think it should be x300 but it has passive cooling and the card it shelf doesn`t have any stickers on it:(
Hyper 530Watt power supply
Excelsor hDD
Monitor: micro1770F

I need help so if u think u have any idea of what is going on please help.
I could just buy a new adapter but i want to dry to make this work, since i`m planning to buy a new machine at the end of the summer, just before fallout 3 comes out, so i would like to use this one until then. So a HHHHHHEEEELLLLPPP!!:)

i would really like to help you but this is probably the most disorganised post i've ever seen can't make anything out of it, sorry.

You can check if you have all your cables properly installed.

You should have uninstalled your old Video drivers before changing your card. Go to your Add and Remove programs and see if the old drivers are still installed and uninstall them. Then go to AMD/ATI and download the drivers for the Card you have now and whatever OS you are running and Install them.

Strangelhold: yes i have tried that and ati gives the same driver for all three videos so and i even used drivercleaner to remove any traces of the cards drivers.

Vipernitrox: sorry i was in a hurry when writting my post...but shortly but my monitor shuts down when windows hardware acceleration is using direct x 3d and is one point over that setting...when maximum i can`t even see the desktop on start up since the problem occurs right after welcome screen.

EDIT: any links or post to related problem is very helpful thx.
EDIT: vipernitrox u are right the text is very hard even for me
i tried to fix the best i could but if still have any problems understanding, please let me know.

no. thats the biggest problem, if it had any numbers or a stripe code i could back track it to the seller, but it has none, my best bet is that someone in a line of this cards life though he could get more money from it, when selling, telling it`s a better card.

I allso though of tring windows vista...may be vista can figure out what card it really is??
And the blackout is caused by windows it self not knowing witch driver to use??
