q6600 oc advice please

hi i have never oc a cpu before so i am a complete novice, anyway i gave it a go and turned the ext clock up to 330mhz and i also turned the cpu voltage up by 1 step the cpu is now running at 2.97ghz , i have run a cpu stabillity test for one hour and the cpu was throttled 100% for the full hour, my cpu temp when from 21c up to 43c and stayed around that temp everything seems to be ok i would just like to no if what i have done will result in breaking my cpu or if it should be ok. I also ran 3dmark 06 and got a score of 12110. If anyone could advice me that would be great thanks.

Your CPU will be fine at that temp and at that speed. However, you should run your CPU stress test for 24 hours, IMO.

I don't think you noticed but that was posted by the maker of this thread :D. I really hope I get my computer sold so I can have the pleasure of OCing an Intel.
