Q6600 quad core standard fan problems

hi guys I am having serious probems getting the standard fan that intel has given in the box to stay put. I attach 2 of the screws on one side and then when I attach the next screw it pings out!! It simply will not stay attached.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a known defect with these fans?

I am using an Asus P5N32-E motherboard just in case it is a problem with this!
 
i had a lot of trouble with putting in the stock HSFs.
try doing opposite corners first or something...

in the manual it should show you have to mount it properly... you have to make sure the pin is in the right position.. and then get a screwdriver and push down firmly (not too hard) and then turn it and lock it in place... when i first had to do this i couldnt work it out... now its very easy
