i have a question, i have a q6600 and this quad is going to have to last me probably about 3 years if not more, will it hurt my computer if i overclock it while the temps are still good, like lets say overclock it to 3.5ghz and get 50-60c will this kill my processor or would be fine, i have watercooling this is why i asked, thnx

With water cooling you shouldn't even be seeing 50-60C or you have a big problem. For long term use just remember while newer boards and cpus make ocing easier that still places stresses on hardwares even with low temps being seen. That's like having a constant load being placed on them.

That would be something for an off topic thread there.

I was hoping to get into an AMD quad core cpu but couldn't wait any longer for the new build here. The board is this build runs even cooler at less then 30C while the last build was seeing 31-33C with the cpu seeing 33-36C. The 6000+ X2 on the new build sees about 33-34C after nearly 20hrs. of running time plus a few hours of gaming thrown in.
