Q6600 with ASUS P5N-E SLI Temp Readouts in Everest - WTF? (PIC)

ok, this cant be right, its one of my friends that just got his Q6600..using stock air cooler when its 70+f in his house.
 
SpeedFan and PC Wizard both show my individual core temps on my x6800 as well as overall temp.

maybe the lucky bastard got one of them g0 stepping :D try run cpuz and check what stepping :)

try intel thermal analysis for correct temp.
 
i have the e6420 with the P5N-E SLI and air, and when i use everset, Speedfan, or even check BIOS, i always have a really low temperature. i just got done playing F.E.A.R. for about 45 minutes and my CPU is 29 degrees. its also overclocked from 2.13 to 3.2

long story short, i think its just that the c2ds really dont put out that much heat
 
If it's 70F in your room then those temps arent correct. Try using Intel TAT or check via the BIOS.
