Q6600.

Well it's christmas and well I can't take my crappy pc no more.

So Im gonna upgrade, I will be getting a Q6600 for 290$ Canadian, Now I need a new mobo.

I need the help on the mobo, what should I get? Not sure on price yet but a good match to the quad core and not to pricey, maybe a little bit of ocing to get it to about 3.2GHz but not higher.

lol ok then. everyone seems to recommend the gigabyte one to me. im probably gonna get one in may for my birthday along with a q6600.

you could get a mobo/cpu combo from tigers direct.

they have one for $400 with the q6600.

the mobo is the top selling one on tigers direct so its pretty good. and if your paying 290 for the q6600 the your basically getting a really good board for 110. which is a lot cheaper then the Abit.

even though the XFX has unnecessary features like sli that you probably wouldnt use, your still saving a lot.

unless i have not read something right and made a mistake lol :D

Just FYI, lots of people have had BIOS issues with the IP35. Check out Abit's website and head to their Forums section. Search for IP35 and you'll get several pages of people with issues. I didn't have the patience to read them all, so some of them may be moot, but still worth looking into before you buy.

yeah but the q6700 is a lot more expensive if i remember correctly. in australia it is anyway. so it would be better to get the q6600 andoverclock
 
Get a Fatal1ty board, they seem to be very nice and depending on where you buy, cost effective for the performance.
 
Nah Im gonna go with that combo, I had posted it a couple months back but I didn't end up getting it because I got something else so now im gonna get it because my pc is outdated and to old for my liking..

Ya it's crazy, the q6600 is so cheap it's like 290$ canadian and the q6700 is somehting like 950$ that's insane.
 
ah the pentium d i remember how much lag i had with that processor and when i got it i thought it was like the best processor out lol

I never ever lagged with this cpu, it' was always fast and never bogged down on me everytime It was under a lot of load.

I said crappy because my pc is outdated now so it's time for an up :)

And now I wanna hurt someone! That combo went up 87$!
 
the mobo must not be half price anymore. still. may as well buy it. should be slightly cheaper, and if your gonna get them both then may as well order them as a combo
