just ordered one :) $185!!

i hope i can overclock it to 3.45ghz ;) my motherboard will run that speed, but will the processor ?? guess it depends on wat stepping i get and such lol

385fsb ftw :)

Better have it on liquid to take it that high.

I have a friend who has a Q6600 @ 3.0 GHz and runs kinds warm....but still ok. He has a Antec 900 with a OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU cooler.

Don't worry, I had my Q6600 up to 3.6GHz with a lower multiplier (around 2000MHz bus ) with only an air cooler. It really depends on the motherboard and if you get the G0 stepping.

Q6600's are great processors. Both of my Q6600 systems rum 9 x 400 24/7 with no problems.

yea im seriously considering buying some coollaboratory liquid pro for it just because its likely going to be the last processor i buy for a few years and the last one im going to use for this particular build.

Meh, I could hit 3.6GHz on air but only 3.85GHz on water, so it's up to you if it's worth the price. :)

omega: coollaboratory liquid pro... not arctic silver 5... its that liquid metal thermal compound lol for like $15

if i need to leave it at 3.2ghz at stock voltage then i'll do it... but if it can handle 3.4ghz then you know thats what im shooting for, since my motherboard will handle that fsb.
