Q9300 and the Q9450 are very similar. I just bought a Q9300 for $326 and the Q9450 lists around $399. I'll get to my question in just a second - quick specs of the two:
Q9300: 1333 FSB, 2.5GHz, 6MB L2 Cache. ($326)
Q9450: 1333 FSB, 2.66GHz, 12MB L2 Cache. ($399)
I am only worried about gaming (Starcraft 2, WoW, left4dead, Age of Conan) and future games, and I don't want to upgrade for atleast another 2 years.
Now my only question is, did I make the right choice with the Q9300 or should I have spent the extra $75 for the Q9450? Is there much of a difference between the 6MB cache and the 12MB cache? I do not plan to overclock, MAYBE in the future but right now I don't have any plans to. Any advice will be appreciated!
