Hi all:
I am looking to purchase a new laptop. I will likely be attending grad school next year (if the gods of graduate admissions find me pleasing) for Ph.D. study in math.
I have found two laptops that interest me.
Which of the two would you recommend, and why? What edge does one have over the other? Let me say ahead of time that I have very little experience and knowledge of hardware, software, and (unfortunately) computer lingo. Please use layman's terms where possible.
My intentions for my laptop: entertainment (movies, online streaming, music, maybe some light gaming if/when the new Battlefront comes out) and of course grad work (homework, transcribing notes, writing a dissertation).
