who have better single player FEAR or quake4??

i played both and for me quake was better by miles than fear in sp because quake4 have better gameplay and better game story, fear was some how borning for me, it is storyless and it is very limted, everytime u should shot just the same people and everytime u fight in the sameplace in dark , not like quake4 where there is many different kinds of enemys and places (indoor and outdoor), and in quake4 u can ride vehicles + quake4 have better weapons than FEAR

please don't vote if haven't played both, and i am taking here about single player not multiplayer

theres alot of backtracking in fear, quake is pretty straight forward and they tell you what to do next.

quake 4 rocks
and it is not a doom wannabe juss cuz its the same type of game

and they arent the same game either
quake 4 is juss made from the doom engine

quake 4 is its own game

That is frigging funny guy. You obviously don't have a clue to the history of either game.

Bingo, Doom and Quake started the FPS genre. Without those, there wold be no FEAR, no Half Life, no Battlefield, no Unreal, nothing.

Yes I knew that since I have that game, it was made in 1992, but I'm saying that Doom really made the genre what it is today.

Yes you are both right :). I really do think doom made the genre and Quake has a history also. I don't think it was ever anybodies intention to make Quake 4 anything like Doom 3. They have enough difference story wise to make them their own game. ID are the masterminds behind both games so I would suggest this is the reason why you see similarity. Two totally different games with similar style. I just really think the original comment about Quake 4 is a Doom 3 "wannabe" is a bit inaccurate. Also I don't find the logic in saying Quake 4 sucks yet he never commented on Doom 3 sucking, If they are so similar then logically this should be the case :P. If I where to read between the lines I would suggest that he feels Doom 3 is fine but Quake 4 sucks yet he felt they where very similar. Makes no sense if you ask me. At the end of the day it is all personal preference and opinion and everyone is in-titled to having one.

Edit:

Oh and also one might argue that wolf 3d was not the first as it is a 2d game made to give the impression of 3D. The environment is actually quite different.

fear and quake to me are amazing games but i normally double click on my fear shortcut much more

With good reason :). They are both great games but FEAR is much newer in terms of game play. the enemy are much smarter the environment is something familiar to us. Quake 4 is basically Quake 2 with updated graphics. It's the old tried and true and if it ain't broke then don't fix it attitude. Quake 4 has that I've played it before feel to it where FEAR is totally opposite in my opinion. They both have a place in my game library.
