question about a power supply...

quick question...

is it bad to run a power supply outside of the computer case?

i have a slim computer and dont wanna try to find a more expensive one that will fit...so can it be done?

any problems associated with it?

i would say going against it, cant really give a reason, just sounds like trouble to me

No problems, more air flow in the case, and most likely a cooler system and power supply overall. Although it looks rather crude...

I think it's a great idea as far as cooling goes. If you don't mind how it looks than great. Anything to keep the box cooler is great.

It's okay...but make sure you don't spill anything on your desk as that will cause a BIG trouble.

there is nothing wrong with it. i have no head issues. my cpu runs at 21C and its a quad so i dont see why heat would be your issue.
