question about asus board

i just bought the ms2-deluxe sli board about a week ago, and everytime i plug something into the usb ports, i get a message saying that "the device could peform faster if connected to a 2.0 usb port." well i checked the bios, and i have all the usb characteristics checked. i'm doing an update right now on my bios, but what could be the problem?
 
You could try installing updated drivers for the board itself along with looking at the usb section in the device manager to see if anything there has a yellow mark next to it. It would most likely be a driver problem there. If you simply installed Windows but nothing off of the cd for the board that would cause a few things to come up.
 
Install the USB 2.0 support on the motherboard cd that came with the mobo...then it should work...not sure how old that mobo is,but i'm fairly sure it should support usb 2.0
 
i have sp2 installed, i tried installing from the cd, but message came up saying that sp2 already supports it, but i'm still getting messages. i haven't updated the bios still, but think that might solve it?
 
Often the newer revision of the bios will include a fix for problems seen on certain model boards. You may want to backup the current bios when going to try out the update.
