Question About Dual Monitors.

When im running games on my primary monitor, I want to run MSN, VLC, and a few other small apps on the secondary monitor, which is easy to do, specially with ultramon.

However, when im gaming, I cant move my mouse over to the 2nd monitor unless I alt-tab out of my game. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having two monitors.

Is there anyway I can just move the mouse from the game over to the other monitor with no trouble so i can switch songs or type to someone real quick, then just drag the mouse back into the game?

I've noticed also that it's based on what the game does to your computer. Like WoW I can't even get onto my second monitor. But Spore will allow me to cross over like normal. Problem is, if I try clicking or anything, then the game minimizes.

Haha, nah.

If anything I want the mouse to still be able to push to the side of the screen, so i can look around during games like Crysis, but if I push it to a side for about 5 seconds it will pop over to the other monitor.

It would be better if something can detect when the game is paused, or a hotkey to unlock the mouse, then I can go to the other monitor to do something really quick, and then bring it back to the game.

I know there is mouseprison (?) which locks the mouse in the game, and I need something opposite of that, just with some options to it.

EDIT: Ill be googling around for a solution, and ill post back if i find anything that works well. If you find anything, keep me posted as well. Ill try setting the a hotkey in ultramon that "moves mouse over to other monitor" and see how well that works.

Didnt work.

Well, running in windowed mode works. I have the height about 20pixels higher than my resolution, so I can set the bar ontop of the game off the screen and the game still look full screen. Its nice.
