Hey y'all, I recently got this video card and I'm trying to set up three monitors (haven't installed the video card yet, just got it in yesterday and waiting on the MB).
What I have currently is two DVI cables and an HDMI cable, but it's to my understanding that this set up wont' work, and I can either use one of the following combinations:
2 DVIs + DisplayPort
1 DVI, 1 HDMI, and the displayport
But not 2 DVIs and the HDMI. First off, I'd like to confirm if my understanding is correct?
If so, would something like this, a DisplayPort --> HDMI cable, work? Or how about this, a DisplayPort --> HDMI adapter?
I don't have a monitor that has a DP connection, so essentially I have to find a way to convert the signal to either DVI or HDMI and am just looking for a relatively cheap way to do so. I know there's some other DP converters out there that run for $30 - 50 but I wasn't sure if they were along the same lines of MonsterCables (a complete rip off) or if there was a legit reason for the price difference.
