Question about LCD Monitor

I recently purchased a Flatron L1715S from LG Electronics. This morning when I turned my computer on, followed by my monitor, the monitor acted as if it had turned on, yet displayed nothing. After trying several things, I finally pulled the plug from behind the monitor and plugged it back in, and it worked.

Any ideas of why this is? I'm curious as to why it happened and if it will again.

I'm guessing just a temporary little slip up, could be a number of things.
The one I'm going with is that the first time you plugged it in you didn't connect it correctly to the base unit
It shouldn't happen again

Well i have a LCD monatar an sometimes i have to do that aswell, and it fixes it up good, so it might b the fact that its a LCD monitar, i dunno if it happens to normal monatars.
