Question about low profile cards.

Hey everyone, this is my first post here.

I just built a PC using the ASUS Pundit P3-PH5 found here:

I also got this video card for it along with all the other necessary components:

I dont do major PC gaming but i wanted a card that could play some RTS games. The integrated graphics arent that great. But this card is about 6 inches wide and my case is only about 4 inches wide. I read that this is a ''low profile'' case, doeset that mean there are low profile video cards for it? Can you guys point me towards some decent ones? I need something for minor gaming that will fit in this case. Any help is appreciated, and i apologize for my ignorance.

You will see better performance out of two other cards seen in the same price range if you have a set limit there. The EVGA 7900GT seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130025 would be the first. A Sapphire X1550 Radeon model also comes to mind as seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102079

The MSI Radeon X1300 Pro is currently used here for gaming as well as multimedia without lags while also being a lower end model. It mainly depends on how much you plan to spend. The $75-100 range will see newer and better performers for what newegg currently has in stock.
 
So you guys understand what im saying about the size of the case? Would any low profile card fit? Will this apply to any PCI cards as well? Is this like a form factor, like ATX and Micro ATX? I would also like to play some newer racing games with my PC. It has a Pentium D 2.8 ghz. 2 gigs of ram and the rest you can see on the asus specs page.
Price range would be int the 50-70 dollar range.

Yes I understand what you're saying about the size of the case, that's why I linked you to a low profile card :) Looking on newegg, there's only a few of those extra narrow low profile ones, (such as that even the PCI bracket is narrow) and the one that I previously linked was the cheapest one.
 
I don't think that card will work. Even though it's a lowprofile card, the actual part of the card that attaches to your case is the same length as a full size card. However, your case probably uses a shorter version. Thus, you'll need a card similar to the one i linked you.
 
So is there a name for the cards with the smaller bracket? I take it not all low profile cards are the small type.

The two previous cards will dust that card off fast. The EVGA 7300GT is a better performer. The MSI Radeon X1550 is a step up from the X1300 Pro here.

That's not only a low profile but low quailty brand there. The two cards posted earlier are good models to look over. Even the Asus version of the Radeon X1300 Pro would be a better card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121550
