I've just got an OEM x1900xtx, but it didnt come with any cables or leads or a manuel, i've figured i cant use it because i dont have a 6pin pcie power connector that connects from the graphics card to the power supply right? So i need to get one obviously.. is that all i'll need?

yup :) you can download the drivers for it from the ati website. and except the 6pin power connector (and maybe a DVI -> VGA connector, depending on your monitor ofcourse) you dont need anything else :)

Thanks! If i already have the latest ati drivers - since my old card is an ati, do i need to uninstall them and then reinstall them when my new ones in? Also whats a DVI to VGA connector? :(

can you connect your monitor to the new card?
(usually) a VGA connector is blue, and DVI is white,.. as far as i know, the x1900xtx only has DVI outputs, meaning if you only have a VGA connector on your monitor (like i have on mine) you would need this:
mgvga11.jpg

to make your monitor work on that card.
but if the monitor already has a DVI connector, you dont have to worry about it :)

I havnt tried connecting it yet.. But my connectors blue so i guess i'm gonna need that too then heh. Is there any chance you could point me out to exactly what im looking for on ebay.co.uk? Its alot to ask i know but i dont want to end up getting the wrong things

Thanks i ended up getting those things from somewhere else, but now my new problem is i dont know where the two ends go into my pc, i cant see anything sticking out for which to plug them into

what do you mean? the 6-pin pci-e connector? one end comes onto the grafic's card (inside the pc) and the other 2 connectors go to 2 4-pin molex connectors comming from your power supply ( same as the dvd drives etc normally have

After all that i now have no spare molex's so i need to get a new psu, which lends itself to a new problem where i have no idea of what one to get
