Question about my processor

i have

AMD ath 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+2.01ghz.

if that were pentium what would that be equivalent to, like p4 3.4?

Probably the Pentium D 940, but the x2 3800+ performs slightly better.

The Pentium 4 is a single core, if you want to compare it to a Pentium line it should be the Pentium D.

And as Monkeysims said, performance is close to that of a Pentium D 940, however the X2 still outperforms slightly in most games and apps.
