i have a wnr834b router and on the side of the box it says that it has it can do draft version 1.0 of n. then i read on engadget that they upgraded it to draft version 2.0 with a firmware update. i heard that the final 2.0 n adapters wont work with a draft 1.0 router, but doesnt that update make my router a draft 2.0 router?

i dont really see the point of n since nobody has a connection of 300 mbs at home.

i think i figured it out. they already put the final n stuff in it but couldnt use it until they got certified for it then they released the update to allow it to use the final n 2.0.

The point of 802.11n is to make wireless have speeds similar to wired, of course no one has a 300Mbps internet connection, if all you use wireless for is internet then 802.11g is more then enough. 802.11n is for people who want to stream video, transfer files, etc. wirelessly.
