Question about network connection

OK guys, gotta HP here. Had AOL dial up connection (I know old old old stuff) but now I am using Verizon as my way to connect to the internet. HOWEVER, on my network places, there is a network connection that is no longer valid and is still "connected" even when I am not using or connected to the internet. I tried to delete it but it will not delete, also tried disabling it and will not do that as well. Any ideas? This connection overrides the driver for Verizon so that my connection becomes idle! HELP! THank you in advance!

If you are no longer using dial up then disable, uninstall, or remove the dial up modem and see if you can delete the dial up connections.

What if all that does not work? Any other suggestions?

Do a fresh install of windows.

wow well that sucks hopefully the 1st idea works otherwise its worth getting a new computer

You'd rather get a new computer than to reinstall Windows? lol

I knew I forgot to add something.... Uninstall AOL software to see if that will get rid of it as well. AOL plays hell with your system.
