question about power consumption?

ok, i have a gaming computer, it has a BFG LS-680 power supply, now, my power bill is through the roof, i was wondering how much juice does a computer use?
 
My specs are below:

Antec Nine Hundred comp case
BFG LS-680 Power Supply
Asus P5QL Pro Motherboard
Zalman CNPS9700 LED CPU Heatsink
BFG Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ OC VGA
4 Gb of ram
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHz
4 Hard drives (3 SATA, 1 PATA)
2 DVD+RW Drives
D-LINK Wireless Network Card
U.S. Robotics Modem Fax Card

Your power supply shouldn't make a noticable differnce on your power bill unless you shit in the dark all night and litterly don't have anything else plugged in.
 
Even if you are running at maximum = 680W, at 80% efficiency = 816W drawn from the wall. That is 0.8kWh. If you let it run at that 24 hrs per day 365 days a year is would cost

0.8kWh x 24 x 365 = 7,008kWh annually
Cost of electricity is approx $0.12 / kWh = $841 per year

Now, you aren't running it at 100%, coz it would shut off. You probably have the following situation:

2000 hrs per year (energy star US average)
= 400W (50% load with 80% efficiency) x 2000hrs = 800kWh annually
= 800kWh x $0.12 = approx $100

so, you would be looking at 2 bucks a week more. thats it. WHOA

check if your brother is growing weed.
