Question about ps3 and ps2 and psp compatibility stuff

Ok I hear that the PS3 is not going to take ps2 memory cards. This means that you will loose your saved games.

But apparently memory in the PS3 will be both Hardrives and SD duo memory sticks. Is this what PSP uses?

I heard that you can probably retrieve your saved games from PS2, then put them on the PSP then onto your computer where you transfer them onto your card for the PS3. Does anyone know if this can and will work?

Pleas no fanboys telling me to get XBOX360 my mind is set on getting PS3 due to backwards compatibility, I just would like not to have to start my games all again. So any points on all these issues would be very much apritiated thanks.
 
Hahahah Good question! I'm not sure. I'm a ps2 fan as well not an xbox fan. I think xbox is so boring.
 
hehe o right. So anybody out there with an answer?? please??cos im thinkig of buying a 1gb SD duo card. And I dont want to be wasting my money.
 
well it used the same as the ps3 will. Tinyyy little things just bigger than 20p coin and hold like up to 2 gb.
 
the ps3 and 360 r going to sux cuz of the programing that they are making the games in is a crapy language and it will be hard for the system to read the programing and there for the ai will sux and my computer will wipe the floor with them

well... please feel free to program a better game in a non crappy language..
and when you're done with that you can tell that those games are crappy.

but i think the memory cards are the same. tough.. they wont be 2Gb

Well I did ask for no fan boys on this issue and well you obviousely a PC fan boy. And afew upgrades on my PC and I could probs wipe them to the floor aswell but I dont realy care lol. I want to know if the ps3 will be using SD duo memory sticks.

Well done thanks I agree totaly here. Dont critisize untill you yourself are the apitimy of perfection.
 
i like ps2 and xbox perfectly fine i juss got some reliable info on this subject and i will get a ps3 when they are around $200 cuz im not going to pay $400 on a system when i could us that money fora car payment and gas and so

and it would take tooo long for me to program it and im juss stating the resource that i got it from so dont criticize me
