Question about ram, Anyone know the answer?

If i set my ddr2 800 to ddr2 667.
do i change my timmings also?, im doing this for m2n-e mobo problems.
i was running 800 speeds and my bios failed on me today. But its up and running now at 800 speeds again. But im going to set it to 667 for stability.

So do i need to set the timmings also? or i can i leave them at 5-5-5-15

If not.what timmings would i set it to"?

The user's manual would be the place to start for adjustments in the advanced chipset settings section in the bios setup. There you would reduce the memory timings as they were seen on older model boards or the memory clock itself. The CAS Latency there seems a little higher then most boards in general. What make and model board as well as the brand memory and number memory are you running? That would help here.
 
You use the RAM divider to bring it down if you want to still overclock your CPU.

Usually when you underclock RAM you can tighten up the timings. It's a matter of experimentation to find what works.
 
Can you guys suggest any good timmings? or anywere i can read up on it.?

Ive read of OCZ GOlD 5400 with 5-5-5 timmings, but then ive read other places it has 4-4-4 timmings.

i have 6400 gold
 
try 4-4-4.. see if it boot's up,.. run prime95 to look if its stable.
if its not, put the timings on 5-5-5.. if it is, you can leave them that way, or try the timings at 3-3-3 :P just play a bt around with it.. worst case scenario, the pc reset's the bios because it cant boot :)
