i bought some kingston ram, and it works fine, then i bought another stick of kingston ram, same kind, and my computer wont load up. i can start it in safe mode when the ram is in by itself and it says it's in there under the control panel, but when they are together i cant start it in safe mode. is there a way i can make it work in noraml mode if i start it in safe mode or anything?

not really.. My guesses are... Either you got some bad RAM, or you are trying to use more RAM than you board can accept, or worst case scenario, your board it starting to go bad...

have you tried playing around with the slots that you put the ram in, some slots may not be working? Try all combinations!
And what mobo is it

my pos comp is 800mhz, 30 gigs, 384MB sdram, 128mb nvidia 3d card. its a long way behind the times. thats why i will probably just get a new one. everything needs to be upgraded. besides 3d card which i might switch over if it fits. and i only have 2 slots. and one 256 stick is in one, and one 128 stick is in another. thanks for help tho

how many RAM slots do you have?
can you boot from just the 128 or just the 256?
if you have say four RAM slots do you have the RAM in slots 0 and 2?

i have 2 slots. memory in each slot. doesnt work. i think its just my junky ass comp. its a few years old. i'll just get a new one. kinda want AMD cuz i want a good one for games and i hear AMD is good for that
