Question about S.L.I.

Does anyone know if SLI is only supported on XP? I run 2000 Pro and im about to get a 2nd 6600GT but if SLI only runs on XP then ill have to pass. Someone told me itll run on all 32 and 64bit OS but im not too sure.
 
I don't see why it wouldn't be supported on other OSes. The only SLI requirements that I know of are:
1. Hardware (hard to run SLI on a Voodoo2...I mean Radeon x800 :P)
2. Drivers, they have drivers for SLI hardware for other platforms so it makes sense that they can drive SLI
