Now I score about 6000 on 3Dmark06, 2400 on cpu and etc. Now I have few questions. Can I buy any PCI-e graphics card in the second slot and i can use SLI? If I happen to get same video card (XFX 8600GT), by how much my graphic 3dmark06 will score? What are your recommendations? Thank you!

You cant just buy any PCIe video card and SLI. If you have a 8600GT you have to use another 8600GT. It does not have to be the same brand but it has to have a 8600GT GPU. As far as performance using SLI its up and down. Some games will see quite abit gain and some none at all

So you're saying you want to spend another $100 on a 8500GT, just to increase your 3DMark06 score?

You should just sell the 8500GT, get some money from it and buy some better single card.

2450. I think I could push more, but I am worried about review saying it can't go up more than 3.2ghz, which i don't agree. FX line is a lot better at OCing.

The Athlon 64 series arent the best overclockers, 3.21Ghz is pretty good for one. And the 8600GT isnt the best gaming card out there.

If you really wanted SLI, you would need to get another 8600GT, but IMO I would sell your current one and get an 8800GTS.

I agree with Omega, a 8600gt is not that good of a card, I dont think I would spend the money to buy another one. Either sell it or save up and buy a better single card and save that one for a back up.

Also agree with Omega. My friend had a 8600GT, when he got a 8800GTS (when i recommended it to him) we benchmarked it, it outperformed the 8600GT by a quite bit.

I got up top 10500 in 3DMark06 with an oc'd C2D and 8800GTS.

ull see a differnce if u have the money id buy another card and it would probably run everything on high since u have a pretty powerful cpu. for me selling it is a hassle but its up 2 u
