Hi, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I really just wanted to ask a question, but this seems like a cool forum so I think I'll stick around.
I know solid state drives perform 2 actions per write instead of an HDD. They transfer the data to be deleted from a cell to memory (this may not be right, correct me if I'm wrong) and write the new data in the now empty cell's place, assuming the drive needs to make space. When the old data is transferred to memory, does it stay there until you power down your system? What exactly happens to the deleted data? Thanks in advance.
