Question about System Restore...

Hey All,

I thinking about doing a sytem restore on my computer (Compaq Presario S0000/80000 Series with Celeron proccessor) and was wondering if there's any problems that will arise if I do this. I also want to know if I have to reinstall Windows, because my computer came with XP already installed and no software CD.

Thanks in advance.

no you will not have to reinstall windows, all the system restore does is it deletes all the files you put on it, and sets it back to the way you bought it

That's if he does it through windows.

If you do it with the system restore disk it will usually reformat the HDD and remove all data. If you do this (with the restore disks) it will automatically re-install windows and then you can re-install the software that came with it.

If you use a system restore cd, it will wipe all the data off your hard drive and restore it in the same condition as when you bought it.

If you use windows system restore, then it will delete all files and undo any changes that were done after the selected checkpoint.
