Question about temp.

Just got my new Q6600 in. Amazing.
At about idle my temps are:

Core 0: 28
Core 1: 31
Core 2: 21
Core 3: 27

Is this OK? I did a pretty good job putting a very thin layer of that stuff over the CPU before I installed the fan. I did a search and someone else asked the same question but the thread turned into some argument.
Should I reapply that white stuff or is this OK?
Thanks

With a Q6600 that is about normal or a bit on the low side. My q6600 runs 32 31 26 27*C running stock using core temp at idle. PC probe II (ASUS) tells me I’m running 38*C at idle.

At 100% I run in the mid 40’s on core temp and low 50’s with the pc probe.

Why don’t you post your motherboard and what program you’re using for better info.

I dont have a quad but i need to know what programs are good. Im using the Biostar included software, and PC wizard 08, and HW monitor

Biostar stuff says im at 25+- (i think its right cause when i shut down and open the comp quick, the temps in Bios are at about 25.

the other 2 say im at bout low 30s

PC wizard says:
Processor temp: 127
Processor core1: 35
Processor Core2:31
Mainboard: 29
HDrives:41

the 127 looks misplaced.

Back on topic: I guess that those are good temps for a quad
