Hey, i dont know if any other computer guys have had the question im currently faced with: why does everyone buy the q6600 rather than other quad cores that are better for cheaper. For example: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Process...3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1261816890&sr=8-3
compared to
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Q6600-Q...6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1261816890&sr=8-6
Now, i know the L2 cache is different, or that the q6600 is double, but does it make that much of a difference? or is it just inflation?
thanks

The Q6600 is an overclocking LEGEND.

They're probably more because they're getting harder to find.

If you don't plan to overclock, a Q9XXX series chip will be fine.

Even those are great overclockers, got my Q9550 up to 4.1GHz.

Depends how you overclock them. Q6600 has a bigger cache but slower system bus by about 300MHz. Both are good to overclock
