Question about updated BIOS and AM3+ CPU

Hello there, I have a quick question that I would appreciate if it could be answered asap concerning my Motherboard and this new Processor I want to get.
I currently have a ASRock 770 Extreme3 Motherboard (http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/770%20Extreme3/) and it does not support AM3+ but I looked on the same site and it does have an option thats in Beta to download the BIOS to make it compatible with AM3+ CPU.
I went ahead and already did that and the CPU I was thinking about getting is an AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket AM3+ Eight-Core Desktop Processor. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103961)
My motherboard says that it only supports X6 and I was wondering whether or not that Im able to get this CPU even with the Beta update for the Motherboard. What do you think? I'd like to get an answer before the end of today because the sale ends on Newegg :P

Thanks :)

Looks like you will need to contact Asrock about that, only they will know. I mean, the beta bios doesn't even show what added cpu support it has.

I do not believe you can use that CPU, it appears to just be an AM3 socket, unless later revisions included AM3+ support...is the socket itself black?

I think the six cores it's referring to are the Thuban Phenoms. Not the new FX CPUs.
But you can always email ASRock and see. Couldn't find anywhere in the Beta Zone on their site where it mentioned AM3+ support.
