Question about upgrading from GeForce RTX 4090 to 5090 when it comes out

Hi guys, well my gaming laptop is officially dead and I'm a guy who needs games for recreation so I am considering purchasing a new gaming PC with a GeForce 4090 RTX. However, I know that the 5090 is supposed to come out around the end of this year or early next year. If I purchase a 4090 system, would I be able to swap out the 4090 RTX for the 5090 when it comes out, or will the 5090 use different ports/power connectors etc.?
