I am looking into upgrading my g/f's older computer and am wondering two things. First how much ram can it handle in it's 3 ram slots?(is there an overall limit it can handle and does each slot have a size limit?) and second I am looking to install a larger hd in it also. The current 10 gig hd doesn't cut it. I was told buy a guy in a computer retail store(future shop) that as long as it is running xp, which it is, it can handle up to a 160 gig hd. Now b4 I go buy one I wanna get some second opinions from some other people. So here is all the info I can find on the computer in question. Any thoughts and info would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
Pentium 2, 400 mhz proc
512kb Cache Ram
current Ram is 3x64mb pc 100 (192mb total)
PhoenixBios 4.0 version 6.0
4s4EB2X0.86A.0022.P15
Hope this is enough info. I would like to put at least a 100 gig hd in it but would rather put a 160 in it if it will run it. As for the ram the more I can get in it the better just dont know enough to know the computers limits. thanks again.
