Uh, that's more expensive than the X850Pro!

I bought a Geforce 6200 for the media pc we built out of spare parts and it's a P4 3.0ghz, 1gb ram, 40gb HD, 300W PS, Shuttle case. With the system there you won't see much of a gain spending any large amount for a new card. The most you will see you can get with an older AGP 4x/8x card at this time with a low cost. Put the rest of the money away for a new build.

Okay this might sound stupid but if i have a mobo that supports agp 2x/4x/pro does that mean this card wont be compatible with my mobo because its agp 4x/8x?

An AGP 2x/4x card and an AGP 4x/8x card are both 4x compatable. With one the max is 4x and with the other it has to backclock to the 4x. For a little more you could go with a faster ATI model seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102410R
