question not sure

Ok I have an old acer 3610. I installed an old hd I had formated it and new copy of win xp pro. Installed all the drivers and it worked fine. Restarted it and then came up with the blue screen of death. Tells me to restart in safe mode. Then once it starts it hanges on the driver agp440.sys. I've even tried to start with just a command prompt. And still the same hang. Any thoughts? Becideds just formating and reinstalling? No idea on specs been over a year sence I used this laptop
