Question on CPU fan

I have a ZALMAN CNPS10X Extreme for several years, I notice the fan is about to kick the bucket. Am I able to buy a 120mm fan and put it on the heatsink and will be okay?

Providing if you take the fan off the existing cooler and its a standard fan then yeah.
