Question on laptop MB

im fixing to try and change out a mb for a friends laptop on his hp pavillion dv2500 and any pointers anyone can give me would be great but my question is once the mb is changed i wont have to do anything else to it will i? thats all i am changing is the mb nothing else

as long as you dont change chipsets (like going from AMD780 to AMD880, as I did in my HP with a motherboard change) then all you will need to do is reassemble it. Shouldnt need any other changes at all.
I would suggest that you clean out all the dust and such from the heatsink and though cleaning of the case too. This will aid in cooling and prolong the life of the computer.

im trying to just change it to another working one this is what i have found so far its a dv2500 speical edtion with an adm chip im doing it for a friend so i dont know a whole lot about the laptop

well that says it's a dv2700, and unless the same pc it will almost definintly not fit into his pc, or not be compatible or something

the model number all over the internet says it fits dv2000,dv2500,dv3500,dv2700 adm's

it should fit. They are the sa,e design, just slight changes between them.

i hope so i got his laptop today and it turns on but the screen stays blank i hope its just the GPu thats out and not the screen lol

attach a monitor to the VGA port. That will tell you if it is the GPU or the monitor.
