Question on SLI video card

I recently bought a MSI NX7600GS-T2D256E GeForce 7600GS 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail.

I am using HAL's outside the case build to figure out what is causing me to not have a signal able to go to my monitor.

I have the following setup
-PSU to MB 20+4
-2 sticks 512mb ram 184
-video card
-monitor to video card.
-Hard Drive

MY QUESTION:
Since this video card has two DVI inputs, and my motherboard has two video card x16 slots, do I need to "tell it or configure it" somehow to use the video card? Meaning either slot will work and either input will work?

I made sure the SLI was configured for one graphics card, and I am certain all pins are properly fit.

Any suggestions?
